During 2002, the state of Yucatán suferred the ravages of Hurricane Isidore, which in its path affected the patrimony of many families.
Holcim Apasco, together with the Yucatán state government, decided to support in the reconstruction process, focusing specifically on the community of Xcuyun, one of the most affected by the natural phenomenon.
The company provided cement, ready-mixed concrete and other materials, as well as the technical advisory services needed during the construction process. In this way, all the inhabitants of this community quickly recovered their housing, an essential element for their well-being and dignity.

Moreover, in the early part of 2003, the state of Colima suffered a strong earthquake, which affected the homes and lives of several communities.
Because of the proximity of one of our cement plants, Tecomán, with the affected zone, and due to the good working relationship and friendship that ties us to the state and its inhabitants, we provided support within our influence area.
In this way, Holcim Apasco collaborated in the reconstruction of 2000 homes in the state of Colima, returning something of what the people lost in the disaster.
